Summer FunLife as a summer associate is not all work and no play. Our summer program provides many opportunities for summer associates to socialize with Goldberg Kohn lawyers outside of the office in a variety of professional and social settings. Summer associates are encouraged to attend practice group lunch meetings and to enjoy an array of informal lunches, cocktail parties and dinner outings with Goldberg Kohn attorneys. For example, in past the summer associates and many of the attorneys spent an evening exploring the River North art galleries and another learning how to make ravioli and tiramisu at a trendy downtown restaurant. Some attorneys and summer associates go jogging together along Lake Michigan in nice weather; and a weekly Tuesday run, usually followed by dinner, has developed in the last few summers. The firm's summer associates, attorneys and staff have entered softball and beach volleyball leagues, and our hearts card tournament at a downtown club has also been a favorite in recent years. Additional social activities include outings to Wrigley Field, barbecues at attorneys' homes, the annual firm picnic, architectural boat tours, bowling and golf outings, catered evenings at Ravinia Festival (an outdoor music venue), and our annual "End of Summer Party" at a downtown restaurant.
