Goldberg Kohn's summer program is the centerpiece of our hiring effort.  We believe that the success of the summer program is attributable to its central philosophy: We strive to provide each summer associate with an experience that is realistic, challenging and exciting, and that exposes our summer associates to the unique advantages that Goldberg Kohn offers new attorneys.  The summer program is designed to maximize opportunities for summer associates to get to know and work with the lawyers in the firm, to experience what a junior associate's life at the firm is really like, and to work on meaningful projects as an integral part of cases and deals.

One of our primary goals throughout the summer is to provide a realistic sense of life as an associate at Goldberg Kohn. The summer program is designed to enable each summer associate to demonstrate the professional qualities and skills we value in our lawyers, and at the same time to expose the summer associate to the type of work we do, to our firm culture and to the personalities of our lawyers. We are dedicated to the professional growth and training of our summer associates, and we introduce them to all areas of the firm's diverse practice. Summer associates are given the opportunity to work with many different lawyers over the course of the summer and the chance to obtain substantive experience.

Our newer attorneys are consistently impressed by how much more responsibility they are given on matters in comparison with their peers at other major law firms. It is not surprising, then, that each year our summer associates have this same experience. The work that we give our summer associates is the same substantive legal work that we give our full-time associates.
