Principal Erin Casey Speaks at University of Chicago Law School

Erin M. Casey, principal in the firm's Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Group, gave a lecture at the University of Chicago Law School on the documentation of commercial finance transactions and workout scenarios on February 25, 2010.

Ms. Casey gave an overview of the basic structure of a commercial loan and introduced the documents involved in those transactions such as credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and workout documentation.  Ms. Casey identified key provisions to the group and discussed best practices for drafting them.  

Ms. Casey represents lenders in all aspects of corporate bankruptcy cases and commercial workouts throughout the country. Her experience includes negotiation and litigation of debtor-in-possession financing orders, cash collateral orders and sale orders in bankruptcy cases, as well as documentation of asset-based and cash-flow commercial finance transactions.
