David Morrison speaks at Roundtable for First-Year Associates
Principal David Morrison spoke at the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms' Roundtable for First-Year Associates. Other speakers included Michael Boykins, Partner at McDermott Will & Emery; Tanvir Rahman, Hiring & Training Attorney at Drinker Biddle Gardner Carton; and Marcela Sánchez, Associate at Mayer Brown. The program was sponsored by Goldberg Kohn. The program entitled, "Starting Off on the Right Foot," is designed to provide first-year associates with an opportunity to meet one another and ask candid questions of partners and senior associates. This small group format allows advice to be given frankly and openly regarding how best to succeed in a law firm. The Chicago Committee is a non-profit membership based organization dedicated to providing programming for its member law firms and constituency, addressing the need for increased racial and ethnic diversity in the legal profession. They host events and sponsor programs for minority partners, associates, and law students to assist law firms in the promotion, retention, hiring, and recruitment of minority attorneys in Chicago. |
