David Morrison to speak at HR in Hospitality Conference

Human Resource Executive Conferences presents the 2nd Annual National HR in Hospitality Conference & Expo, an event for professionals in HR management, employment law and labor relations in the hospitality industry.

In addition to sessions for Hotels and Labor Relations, the 2008 program will offer tracks for Restaurants and Foodservice, featuring expert insights into the ultra-specific needs of these segments of the industry.

The conference will also feature Hot Topics Discussion Groups, focusing on six of the most critical issues in HR management and employment law so attendees can share ideas and strategies in a unique “board meeting” environment.

Principal David Morrison will speak at March 19th session called "Avoiding the Heartburn of Class Action: How to Create an Effective Meal Break Plan." Mr. Morrison will discuss, among other things, how mandating meal breaks, documenting break compliance, and compensating employees for breaks not taken are all part of creating an effective meal break plan.  He will also be analyzing the results of an online survey that will provide feedback on the current level of enforcement and effectiveness of meal break plans in the industry.
