Northwestern Law School Small Business Opportunity Conference
On Saturday, March 1, 2008, Michael Manuel, a principal in Goldberg Kohn's real estate department and head of the Climate Change and Resource Conservation Group, will moderate a panel entitled, "The Business of Climate Change: Combining Profit with Environmentalism to Create Opportunity," at Northwestern Law School's Small Business Opportunity Conference. Panelists will include Steve Apfelbaum from Applied Ecological Services, Gary Lazarski from Carbon Green LLC, and Craig Sieben from Sieben Energy Associates. The panel will highlight some of the innovative and unique opportunities for businesses, large and small, that are expected to arise from efforts to deal with global climate change. William Loesch, a principal in Goldberg Kohn's corporate department, will also moderate a panel entitled, "Getting Started: Tips for the Early Stage Entrepreneur". The panel of entrepreneurs and small business experts will cover a wide range of topics including business development, operations, marketing and financing. The discussion will be geared towards entrepreneurs in the early stage of getting their businesses started. |
