Goldberg Kohn Appoints Michael L. Sullivan Chair of Labor & Employment Practice

The law firm of Goldberg Kohn is pleased to announce that Michael L. Sullivan has been named Chair of the firm's Labor &  Employment Group.  Sullivan has 18 years of experience counseling employers and litigating virtually every type of labor and employment claim. He is also a principal in the firm's Litigation Group and has litigated all manner of complex commercial disputes, including class actions, bankruptcy issues and corporate governance battles.

Sullivan has defended employers' interests in federal and state courts and administrative agencies all over the country. He has extensive experience handling employment discrimination cases, whistleblower and retaliation claims, labor union-management hearings and arbitrations, wage-hour class actions and emergency litigation over restrictive covenants, breaches of fiduciary duty and trade secrets.

He has a broad array of industry experience, including deep knowledge of the retail, newspaper, printing and publishing, technology, consulting, charter school and higher education, manufacturing, construction, insurance and financial service industries.

Sullivan's law and bachelor of science degrees are both from the University of Illinois. He is an Executive Board member and Trustee of the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs and a long-time officer and board member of Chicago’s Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association.
