Randall L. Klein Inducted As Fellow of The American College of Bankruptcy March 31, 2009 Randall L. Klein, Chair of Goldberg Kohn's Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Group, has been elected a Fellow of The American College of Bankruptcy. The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary professional and educational association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals. With this induction, Mr. Klein joins Goldberg Kohn principal Ronald Barliant who was previously inducted into the College. College Fellows include commercial bankruptcy attorneys, accountants, turnaround and workout specialists, law professors, judges, and government officials and play an important role in sustaining professional excellence. Mr. Klein concentrates his practice in the area of the protection and enforcement of creditors’ rights, representing institutional lenders and purchasers of distressed claims. He is an author and frequent speaker on bankruptcy and workout topics and received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University and his B.A. in finance from the University of Illinois. Nominees are invited to join the College based on a record of achievement reflecting the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership contributing to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice; sustained evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing or writing on bankruptcy or insolvency; and a commitment to elevate knowledge and understanding of the profession and public respect for the practice. The College now has 712 Fellows, each selected by a Board of Regents from among recommendations of the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and Foreign Fellows. The ceremony took place on March 27, 2009 at the U.S. Supreme Court in the Great Hall, and was presided over by David G. Heiman, Chair of the College.
