April 10, 2006

Chicago - April 10, 2006 - The law firm of Goldberg Kohn recently announced the promotion of principal Denise B. Black, who is stepping down after more than 25 years as head of the department and will continue full time in the practice of law at the firm.

"It's healthy for the firm to have the next generation of principals in leadership positions, and Deni has earned the respect of everyone at Goldberg Kohn as well as that of her peers in other firms and clients and third parties," said principal Dennis Black.  "She will do a superb job, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the task, and I am here to help."

Ms. Caplan has a broad-based corporate practice, advising clients on a full spectrum of business objectives, including analyzing, structuring and documenting mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and restructurings, and corporate start-ups; and structuring of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and other business entities; employment contracting; and capital raising and documentation.
