Phil Blackman is a principal in the Commercial Finance Group. For more than 15 years, his practice has focused on representing lenders in connection with asset-based, debtor-in-possession, cash-flow and unsecured loan transactions primarily to middle market companies in a variety of industries, including the manufacturing, retail, transportation, wholesale and service industries. Mr. Blackman has considerable knowledge about all aspects of a loan's life cycle, from structuring, origination and administration to restructuring and workouts.
Mr. Blackman is admitted to practice in Illinois. He received his law degree from the University of Chicago in 1987 and his B.A. in political science, with highest honors, from the University of Michigan in 1984.
