Adam Laser is a principal in the firm's Real Estate and Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Groups. He represents clients in all manner of real estate transactions, including acquisition and disposition of retail, office, multi-family and industrial property; mortgage and mezzanine financing; negotiating and closing transactions; and lease negotiations and drafting. In addition, Mr. Laser has extensive experience working with institutional lenders on transactions involving the hospitality and senior housing industries. Mr. Laser has represented lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of workouts and insolvency transactions. These matters have included restructurings, deed in lieu transactions, assignments for the benefit of creditors and acquisitions and dispositions in and out of bankruptcy. His workout and insolvency experience has covered numerous asset types in different states, including hotels, retail properties, residential subdivisions and construction loans. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Laser worked on Capitol Hill and directed the Illinois and Indiana field operations for the Midwest office of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Mr. Laser is admitted to practice in Illinois. He received his law degree in 1997 from Northwestern University and his B.A. in political science in 1991 from Northwestern University. Education
