Network Manager

Job Description:

The Network Manager shall have the responsibility to maintain and support the LAN, WAN and all hardware and software related to the network; troubleshoot and monitor the network usage and computer peripherals to assure the smooth functioning of GK’s technology network.   Responsible for servers, enterprise storage, network connectivity, maintaining backups, patch management and maintain acceptable uptime for GK’s systems.  In addition will be responsible for GK’s telephony systems.   Will understand and maintain currency on best Security practices for all areas of responsibilities.  Observes confidentiality in client and Firm matters. 


Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain High-Availability of firm systems via network infrastructure including servers, switches, routers, carrier redundancy and change control processes.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Information Officer, continually evaluates areas of inefficiency or instability in the GK computer systems and makes recommendations as appropriate.
  • Evaluates software upgrades and patches and implements where necessary.
  • Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation of hardware inventory and configuration, software configuration, repair and maintenance history and procedures.
  • Supervises Help Desk function providing support to both Attorneys and staff.
  • Designs and implements recommendations as are agreed upon by the Chief Information Officer and the Technology Committee.
  • In conjunction with the Chief Information Officer and the Technology Committee, works on medium range and long range strategic planning with respect to modifications, alterations, replacements, etc. of the GK computer system
  • Recommends and supervises outside consultants where efficient or necessary.
  • Participates in Help Desk functions.
  • Independently manages other projects, as identified by the Chief Information Officer.
  • Maintains regular, predictable on-site attendance and punctuality.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Management and hands-on knowledge of current MS OS for servers and desktops.
  • Management and hands-on knowledge of SCCM and MSI packaging along with zero-touch deployment.
  • Management and hands-on knowledge of MS Exchange environments including O365 deployments.
  • Full disaster recovery (DR) experience including replication, fail-over and fail-back, and being part of a DR team.
  • Approximately seven years of applicable work experience in order to gain the expertise needed to administer a complex network system.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
  • Demonstrated success and experience managing an Information Technology Team.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a diverse group of Attorneys, staff and clients and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact while maintaining confidentiality.
  • vmware experience.
  • MiTel Telephony experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to work more than 35 hours per week if necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Ability to adhere to GK’s policies set forth by Firm management, as specifically outlined in the Firm’s policy handbooks.
  • Knowledge of GK’s supported software programs and a demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new software applications and equipment supported by the GK.
  • Storage Area Network knowledge and experience.

EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Law Firm Experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or  Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • MSCE (MS Certified Solutions Expert)

Marketing and Design Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing and Design Specialist to provide administrative, marketing, and graphic design support for a highly visible and fast-paced Marketing and Business Development Department.


Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Updating, editing, and proofreading content and graphics on the firm's website, and maintaining relationship with website vendor.
  • Providing support for and staffing firm events under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
  • Creating advertisements for sponsorships, program books, internal events, and other program needs.
  • Assists in preparing marketing materials and proposal content including client presentations, pitches, and proposals.
  • Develops graphic materials such as charts, tables, and forms to support business development activities
  • Supports development of presentations using PowerPoint and other presentation and graphics applications.
  • Coordinates content and design for firm mailings, such as client alerts, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the CRM database (ContactEase), and helps to train attorneys and staff on the system, as well as overseeing data integrity.
  • Responsible for updating and monitoring social media presence on sites such as Wikipedia, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Assists with other department support administration, such as processing accounts payables and check requisitions, maintaining inventory of firm marketing materials and event promotional items, and updating directories and listings.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Approximately 2-5 years' experience performing similar marketing duties in a professional services setting.
  • Knowledge of presentation and graphic image management applications.
  • Experience with advanced design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, PhotoShop, and Prezi is a plus.
  • Flexibility with regards to overtime as necessary, including assisting with some evening and weekend client events.
  • The ability to complete routine office correspondence and forms, perform arithmetic calculations, and maintain records and files.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including writing, spelling, editing, and proofreading.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of attorneys, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to proactively solve problems, manage individual projects, and prioritize tasks, while maintaining professional courtesy and client confidentiality.
