Goldberg Kohn is a proud sponsor of The Chicago Bar Foundation's 2022 Fall Benefit. The Fall Benefit is one of three signature fundraising events hosted by the CBF annually.
As the charitable arm of the Chicago Bar Association, the CBF has been bringing Chicago's legal community together since 1948 to make the legal system more fair and efficient for everyone.
Along with its enduring support for pro bono and legal aid in the Chicago area, the CBF addresses larger systemic issues – like the explosion in unrepresented people in the courts – through community leadership and by developing new solutions for access to justice. The CBF also advocates within the courts and at all levels of government for laws and policies that make the justice system more fair and accessible.
Using a mix of grants, advocacy, pro bono and partnerships, the CBF pursues a two-pronged strategy to accomplish these goals:
- Supporting proven solutions that have an immediate effect, such as the CBF’s grants to established pro bono and legal aid organizations.
- Developing new and innovative solutions that drive long-term, systemic improvements, through initiatives such as the Justice Entrepreneurs Project, developing a network of Court-based Advice Desks and the CBF Legal Aid Academy.
CBF has made tremendous impact improving access to justice and making the justice system more fair and efficient for everyone. More than 200 law firms and companies, and many other committed partners, make the CBF’s work possible.
The Fall Benefit will be held on November 19, 2022, at the Museum of Science & Industry, 5700 South Lake Shore Drive, Chicago.
