Vanessa Bachtell, a principal in the firm's Corporate Group, has coached a team from Northwestern Law School to the finals of the LawMeets 2020 M&A Boot Camp. The Boot Camp consists of eight weeks of exercises that simulate the leveraged buyout of a U.S. software company by a Beijing-based private equity firm.
The program started with 124 teams consisting of 248 students from 48 law schools across North America; 116 teams succeeded in completing all four exercises. The top 10 performing are invited to participate in the finals, which will be held on Friday, August, 8, 2020.
