Malcolm Tucker has joined Goldberg Kohn as an Associate in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He represents banks and other financial institutions primarily engaged in middle-market lending activities in documenting, negotiating and performing due diligence for asset-based and cash-flow commercial finance transactions.
He is also experienced in representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and general corporate matters, with a particular focus on privately held companies, private equity firms, and professional sports teams and their governing bodies.
Prior to joining Goldberg Kohn, Mr. Tucker he was an associate in the corporate practice group at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. He also previously served as an apprentice to the General Counsel of the Chicago Bulls, and held Summer Associate positions with Abbott Laboratories as well as the international law firm Baker McKenzie.
Mr. Tucker earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2021, and his B.S. in Sport Management from the University of Missouri in 2015.
Outside the practice of law, Mr. Tucker is public service-minded, seeking opportunities to support mission driven organizations. He is the Acting General Counsel for KP’s Mission, a non-profit organization aiming to provide youth opportunities in Chicago, and has also worked with pro bono clients, including a national non-profit focused on racial equity. Before pursuing his law degree, Mr. Tucker served as a volunteer with Sithokozile Secondary School and visited Durban, South Africa, to collaborate with Fulbright Scholars and create the first after-school basketball program in the KwaDabeka Township.
