Maria McGuire, principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group, is quoted in "Law firm practice groups are so...2015," published in the Dec. 1, 2017, edition of Crain's Chicago Business. The article discusses the increasing popularity of law firm's organizing their experiences by industries as opposed to practice groups.
More law firms are adding industry groups as they try to differentiate themselves from competitors in a buyer's market for legal services. The approach makes sense, McGuire says, because it reflects how clients think. "We're a services industry," McGuire states, "so you want to make yourself as easy to understand for the client as possible."
