Danielle Johnson to Address LGBTQ+ Workplace Challenges in IPLAC Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee Panel Honoring Pride Month

In honor of Pride Month 2021, Danielle Johnson will address challenges the LGBTQ+ community face in the workplace in a virtual presentation hosted by Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee on Wednesday, June 30 from noon to 1pm CT.

In “Raising the Bar: A Virtual Panel Discussion on LGBTQ+ Diversity in Law,” Danielle will join other panelists to discuss:

  • challenges specific to LGBTQ+ legal professionals
  • best practices to make a tangible impact in the workplace
  • how to better champion legal professionals holding multiple marginalized identities

The panel will include Honorable Judge Mary Rowland of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Jeremy Protas, Partner at Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP and Dr. Nabeela Rasheed, Vice President of Intellectual Property at Amunix Pharmaceuticals. The event will be moderated by IPLAC DE&I Committee Co-Chair Cynthia Assam.

Danielle is an associate in Goldberg Kohn’s Intellectual Property Group. As a former trademark examining attorney at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, Ms. Johnson provides a unique perspective on trademark clearance, prosecution, enforcement, and litigation. She also assists clients with copyright and trade secrets matters and provides counseling on issues related to marketing and advertising.
