Goldberg Kohn Attorneys Provide Pro Bono Services to Clients of National Immigrant Justice Center

Goldberg Kohn attorneys and paralegals provided pro bono services to clients of the National Immigrant Justice Center at a clinic during February 2015 and in follow-up work thereafter. Attorneys from Abbott Laboratories joined us at the clinic and assisted in representing the clients. NIJC recently sent recognition of the outstanding pro bono work.

  • Mary Johnson, Julie Stewart, and Nancy Brougher obtained temporary protection under DACA for three young immigrants from Mexico in collaboration with Suresh Pillai of Abbott.
  • David Mason and Nancy Brougher obtained temporary protection under DACA for two young immigrants from Mexico and India in collaboration with Irene Reininger of Abbott.
  • Roger Lewis and Sandra Hattar obtained temporary protection under DACA for two young immigrants from Romania and Mexico in collaboration with Arul Jothi Arun of Abbott Laboratories.
  • Amanda Penabad and Kristen Thomas also obtained temporary protection under DACA for two young immigrants from Mexico in collaboration with Elisa Valenzona of Abbott Laboratories.
  • Stephen Legatzke and Sandra Hattar obtained temporary protection under DACA for a young immigrant from Mexico.
  • Julie Halperin and Kristen Thomas obtained temporary protection under DACA for two young immigrants from Mexico.

The firm looks forward to hosting another clinic with the National Immigrant Justice Center on February 23rd.
