A Goldberg Kohn pro bono case on behalf of residents of East Chicago, Indiana, is covered in the article, "East Chicago Residents Ask Court to Keep Them in Future Superfund Site Proceedings," published in the Jan. 14, 2017, edition of the Chicago Tribune.

The article concerns a brief filed by Goldberg Kohn, on behalf of East Chicago residents that further supports their November motion to intervene in a Superfund Lawsuit. The brief fired back at the U.S. Department of Justice's and Environmental Protection Agency's which opposed the residents motion.

"EPA's view of the residents as an annoyance in this process or the motion to intervene as an interference with EPA's clean-up efforts does not comport with the text or purpose of the intervention provision, and the court should not condone it," the residents' motion read.
