Vanessa Bachtell and Jerry Jenkins Coach Winning Teams at the LawMeets® 2018 Transactional Law Competition
Vanessa Bachtell and Jerry Jenkins, principals in the firm's Corporate Group, coached three winning teams at the LawMeets® Transactional Competition on February 23, 2018.
The three teams were comprised of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law students. The teams competed in a "moot court" like experience for students interested in transactional work. Two teams placed first in their respective regions, with the third team placing in the semi-finals. The two first place teams will be advancing to the finals in New York in April.
Ms. Bachtell received her law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 1999. She represents buyers, sellers and other participants in acquisitions, dispositions and other commercial transactions.
Mr. Jenkins received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1975. With decades of experience counseling corporate clients in intellectual property and information technology, his practice focuses on the intersection of traditional business issues and constantly changing technologies.
