Dimitri G. Karcazes Appointed Co-Chair With Randall Klein of Goldberg Kohn's Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice
Goldberg Kohn Ltd. has appointed Dimitri G. Karcazes as co-chair of the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice group. Mr. Karcazes will join Randall L. Klein, who has been chair of the group since 2007.
"Dimitri brings to this role a rare combination of skill, experience, and vision that has earned him the respect of his clients, colleagues and peers," said Klein, adding that "Dimitri's leadership will enable our Bankruptcy Group to continue to thrive as we guide our clients in complex restructurings." Dimitri has spent his entire career at Goldberg Kohn and presently serves as Chair of the Finance Committee. In his practice, Dimitri represents lending institutions in the protection and enforcement of creditors’ rights and is involved in all aspects of commercial workouts and bankruptcies, including restructurings, reorganizations, sales and liquidations. He has handled transactions and cases throughout the United States and internationally.
Dimitri received his law and undergraduate degrees, both with honors, from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the American, Chicago and Hellenic Bar Associations, as well as the Turnaround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
Goldberg Kohn's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice group represents clients in significant bankruptcy cases and out-of-court workouts across the United States and in cross-border insolvencies.
