Salma Taleb is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Finance Group.  She represents financial institutions in documenting, negotiating, and performing due diligence for asset-based and cash-flow commercial finance transactions.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Taleb was awarded the Denniston Fellowship at GE Transportation where she worked as an in-house counsel. During her fellowship, Ms. Taleb practiced general transactional law and worked extensively in tech-transactions, data privacy, and cybersecurity.

Ms. Taleb received her law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2018 with a concentration in International Law. While attending law school, Ms. Taleb co-founded the Middle Eastern Law Students Association and served as its Director of Communication. Ms. Taleb represented clients in various immigration and asylum matters at Northwestern’s Children and Family Justice Center during 2016 –2017. She also served as a Senior Editor for the Journal of International Law and Business during 2017–2018. In the fall of 2018, Ms. Taleb was featured as student of the year in the Center for Negotiation and Mediation Annual Newsletter.

Ms. Taleb received her B.A. in Communication and Philosophy with High Distinctions from the University of Minnesota in 2015. In 2011, Ms. Taleb authored and published an Arabic novel Lan Tamout (English Translation: Will Not Die).
