Takayuki Ono is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Group. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes litigation matters, Mr. Ono has a broad practice advising clients in complex disputes involving securities, shareholders, contracts, fraud, and intellectual property. Mr. Ono has extensive experience in all stages of litigation—including pleadings, motions, fact and expert discovery, trial, and appeal.  Mr. Ono also has experience filing amicus briefs before the U.S. Supreme Court.  Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Ono worked at a large international law firm. 

As a native of Kanagawa, Japan, Mr. Ono is fluent in Japanese and is an active supporter of increasing diversity in the legal profession. Mr. Ono is a member of the Firm’s Diversity Committee and is an Associate Board Member of the Chicago Committee of Minorities in Large Law Firms. He is also the Founding Chair of the Japanese American Bar Association Chicago Committee.

Mr. Ono received his law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law. In a previous career, he was a professional journalist after graduating from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
