Goldberg Kohn is extremely proud to be one of only 24 U.S. law firms selected for inclusion in the 2012 Chambers Global Guide in the category of Banking & Finance. Goldberg Kohn is also the only mid-size firm to be listed in the category (all of the others being large firms). Chambers highlighted Goldberg Kohn's practice in the field of international asset-based lending.

Chambers Global also named Richard Kohn, one of the founders of the firm and a principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group, among the leading lawyers in the U.S. in Banking & Finance for his work in international secured transactions. Richard has been a consultant to the United Nations in the area of international secured transactions, and currently serves on the Expert Group for the United Nation Commission on International Trade Law UNCITRAL) on projects designed to help countries modernize their secured transactions laws. According to Chambers, Richard is "a hugely experienced and well-respected practitioner and is recognized for his expertise representing financial institutions in international lending transactions."

During the past decade Goldberg Kohn has represented clients in scores of international lending transactions in Europe, Asia, and South and Central America, ranging from simply taking foreign collateral or guaranties to financing complex acquisitions involving funding in multiple foreign currencies.
