David Morrison, a principal in the firm's Litigation and Labor & Employment Groups, will present "Reducing Hiring Risk While Winning the Race for Talent," at the ERE Recruiting Conference & Expo in Chicago on September 16-18, 2013.
Mr. Morrison will discuss background testing, drug testing and investigations (what can we do if her credit check shows numerous loan defaults?), social media (does his company have a policy that gives them ownership of his LinkedIn account and extensive network?), restrictive covenants (is there a contract that restricts her from soliciting former customers?), and confidential information/trade secrets (what if he downloaded information to a thumb drive and sent himself confidential e-mails to his personal e-mail account to use at our company?).
