Goldberg Kohn attorneys Jim Rosenbloom and Mike Manuel represented CME Group in the $130 million sale of its suburban Chicago data center in Aurora, Ill. to an affiliate of CyrusOne, Inc., a global data center services provider. Jim and Mike were assisted in the transaction by paralegal Teri Bakovich.

As part of the sale, CME Group entered into a 15-year lease for data center space. It will continue to operate its electronic trading platform, CME Globex, from the data center and will offer co-location services as well. The transaction agreements also provide for the means by which CyrusOne and CME Group will enhance the range of services available to their mutual customers through connectivity, hosting and data offerings.
