On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, Goldberg Kohn attorneys Jerry Jenkins and Robert Leighton will present "Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA) is Now Law - Adding Burdens, Supporting New Strategies and Offering New Opportunities."
This seminar will bring together attorneys who deal with technology issues up to speed on the recently signed Defend Trade Secrets Act. DTSA contains some explicit drafting requirements and adds a novel remember for plaintiffs trying to enforce their trade secret rights. Counsel who draft agreements that address technology issues, who give advice about trade secrets and patent strategies, and who litigate trade secret issues need to know what DTSA can do for and to their clients.
Prior to the passage of the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA), trade secret law in the United States was varied, complex and unpredictable. Because DTSA has been layered on top of existing law, practitioners have new choices and approaches at their disposal from the time agreements are drafted through completion of litigation.
