An Op-Ed Published in The Washington Times

Richard M. Kohn, a founding principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group and Co-General Counsel of the Commercial Finance Association (the primary U.S. trade association for asset-based lenders), authored an op-ed piece published in the March 6, 2012, issue of The Washington Times.

In the op-ed, "Convention to Bolster Exports and Jobs," Richard urges U.S. ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Assignment of Receivables in International Trade. He makes the case for ratification of the Convention as a cost-free way to create U.S. jobs and stimulate the U.S. economy, because it would help U.S. small and medium-sized companies obtain financing of their receivables owing by customers in other countries. Richard participated with UNCITRAL (the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law) in the development of the Convention.

Richard was selected by Chambers Global 2012 as one of the 37 leading lawyers in Banking & Finance in the United States. Goldberg Kohn was also rated by Chambers Global 2012 as one of the top 20 firms in Banking & Finance in the United States and is the only mid-size firm in that category.
