Principal Jonathan Cooper Speaks at ABA Spring Meeting re United Nations Secured Transactions Guide
Jonathan Cooper spoke at the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Business Law's 2009 Spring Meeting held April 16-18 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jonathan discussed the United Nations Secured Transactions Guide and its impact on cross-border finance.
Jonathan is a principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group and is the Vice-Chair of the ABA Subcommittee on Cross Border and Trade Finance. Jonathan worked with UNCITRAL (the trade division of the United Nations) in connection with UNCITRAL'S work to develop the Secured Transaction Guide, which provides a comprehensive blueprint for countries wishing to modernize their secured transactions regimes.
