Overview

Kyle Walther is Counsel in the firm's Litigation Group. He represents clients in complex commercial litigation as well as employment litigation. He has significant experience litigating nationwide class actions and cases involving accounting fraud, banking fraud, consumer fraud class action claims, commercial contract disputes, healthcare fraud, defense contracting fraud and insurance coverage disputes. In his employment law practice, he defends employers against claims under federal and state law throughout the country. 

While attending the University of Michigan Law School, he was an Articles Editor and Web Editor for the Michigan Journal of International Law. He also interned with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs in Washington, D.C. 

Experience

  • Part of team that achieved largest recovery to date related to fraud and abuse  during the Iraq War. 
  • Part of team that obtained more than $250 million on behalf of municipal client for unpaid taxes after a seven-day trial; currently representing client in appeal process. 
  • Regularly successfully represent policy holders in coverage disputes with their insurers.
