Overview

Seth Good is a Principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He represents banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions primarily engaged in middle-market lending activities with average transactions ranging from $40 million to $400 million. Seth regularly assists clients in structuring, documenting and negotiating both asset-based and cash-flow deals covering a broad range of commercial finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings.

Seth has extensive experience representing lenders in multi-lien and unitranche structures, with a noted focus on the technology and software industries. In addition, he has worked frequently on cross-border lending transactions in North America and Europe, often involving multiple currency credit facilities.

Among his accolades, in 2017 Seth was chosen as a "40 Under 40" award recipient by The Secured Finance Network. The award recognizes "the best and brightest rising stars in secured finance." He has been recognized annually as a Leading Lawyer in Banking & Financial Institutions Law by Illinois Leading Lawyers since 2021, and was previously named an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers.

Seth joined Goldberg Kohn in November 2004, and is a Member of the firm's Recruiting and Finance committees.
