Overview

Yale B. Eisen is Of Counsel in Goldberg Kohn's Corporate Practice Group. He brings a perspective that few practicing attorneys can offer: He has not only counseled businesses through complex transactions – he has built, operated, and sold one. Yale advises private equity firms, family offices, privately held companies, and startups on the full range of transactional and general corporate matters, drawing on more than two decades of experience as both a practicing lawyer and a hands-on senior business executive.

His transactional work encompasses mergers and acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings. Yale also provides day-to-day general counsel services, including the drafting and negotiation of master services agreements, consulting and employment agreements, customer and vendor contracts, and nondisclosure agreements.

Professional Background

Yale joined Goldberg Kohn in May 2026.

Before returning to the practice of law, he spent more than two decades building Ideal Box Co. into a $100 million-plus premier packaging and design business. As Owner, Board Member, and Chief Operating Officer, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s operations – from manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing, to finance, legal, and human resources. During that period, Yale also acquired a subsidiary display sales and design business in Los Angeles and launched a new office in Cincinnati.

In 2017, Ideal Box Co. was acquired by Hood Container Corporation. Yale subsequently served as General Manager through 2024, where he managed the P&L, directed capital projects, implemented corporate KPI’s, developed a new product line, and supported Hood’s post-acquisition integration strategy. Prior to joining Ideal Box Co. in 2002, Yale held in-house corporate counsel positions at Classified Ventures, LLC (Cars.com & Apartments.com), and Sears Roebuck and Co., where he handled day-to-day legal and regulatory matters and counseled on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Yale began his legal career at Rudnick & Wolfe (now DLA Piper).
