
Justin Morgan is an associate in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He represents banks and non-bank financial institutions in structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing middle-market commercial finance transactions. Mr. Morgan's experience includes secured asset-based and cash-flow loans, leveraged acquisition financings, refinancings, and recapitalizations across a wide range of industries and sectors. In addition, Mr. Morgan has experience representing lenders, borrowers, and asset purchasers in connection with loan workouts, restructurings, and distressed asset sales.
Mr. Morgan served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Barbara J. Houser of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Before joining Goldberg Kohn, Mr. Morgan practiced in the Chicago office of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP and in the New York office of Jones Day.
Mr. Morgan received his law degree, cum laude, in 2014 from Northwestern University, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. Prior to law school, Mr. Morgan managed a team of analysts for a large financial institution in Richmond, Virginia. He received his B.S.E. in Engineering Physics from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Morgan is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York.
