
Sarah Griggs is a Principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. She represents banks, finance companies and other financial institutions in a variety of asset based and cash flow debt finance transactions. She is experienced in structuring, drafting and negotiating documentation for complex acquisition finance transactions, split-lien transactions, working capital facilities, second-lien financings, mezzanine financings and broadly syndicated transactions, as well as workouts and restructurings.
Ms. Griggs has assisted in finance transactions involving borrowers in a wide-range of industries, including software and technology, restaurants, retail, manufacturing and business services. She also has extensive international lending experience, having worked on several transactions involving the laws of Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In 2022, Ms. Griggs was chosen as a "40 Under 40" award recipient by The Secured Finance Network. The award recognizes "the best and brightest rising stars in secured finance." She was profiled in The Secured Lender's Sixth Annual "Women in Secured Finance Issue," published May 2021, where she provided advice and personal perspectives for women in the secured finance field.
Ms. Griggs joined Goldberg Kohn in September 2010. She serves on the firm's Women's Task Force and is a Member of the Finance Committee.
She received her law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2009, and her B.A., magna cum laude, in International Politics and Economics, with a regional focus in Latin America, from Middlebury College in 2004.
