A team of Goldberg Kohn Commercial Finance attorneys represented Wells Fargo Bank in connection with a $520 million asset based revolving credit facility for CANPACK Group. Wells Fargo Bank acted as Joint Lead Arranger, Administrative and Collateral Agent together with Citibank and BNP Paribas, as Joint Lead Arrangers. Lenders also included J.P. Morgan, ING Capital LLC and PKO Bank Polski SA.
The transaction marked Wells Fargo Bank’s first asset-based financing provided directly to Polish borrowers and required coordination between U.S. and Polish counsel on the implementation of international financing standards under Polish law. The Goldberg Kohn team was led by William Starshak and included Kyle Bessette and Patrick Cronin.
CANPACK Group, Inc., part of Giorgi Global Holdings, Inc., is a manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans and packaging solutions for the food and beverage industries.
The new five-year facility refinances and extends CANPACK’s existing revolving facilities and will support general corporate and working capital purposes.
