Goldberg Kohn, as Co-General Counsel of the Commercial Finance Association, conducted its Second Annual CFA International Asset-Based Lending Workshop on March 5-6, 2008 in New York.

The workshop was an intensive two-day program providing step-by-step, practical instruction in analyzing, structuring, documenting and working-out international secured loans, with a particular focus on Europe, Latin America and Asia. The workshop provided the conceptual framework and tools necessary to enable participants to tackle any type of cross-border secured lending transaction with confidence, and covered lien, currency, tax, corporate governance, financial assistance, insolvency and other critically important issues. Lawyers and lenders from various countries (including Canada, China, England, Germany, Mexico, The Netherlands and Switzerland) provided an analysis of the international lending market and the laws of their countries.
