Matthew Hohman

Overview

Matthew D. Hohman is an Associate in Goldberg Kohn's Real Estate practice group. He represents lenders in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of various real estate financing transactions. In addition, he represents clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of real estate.

Matt joined Goldberg Kohn in February 2026. Previously, he was an associate in the Real Estate and Development practice group at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. While in law school, he served as a Legal Extern to The Hon. Patrick F. Fischer of The Supreme Court of Ohio.

Experience

Counseled lender in financing of $15 million term loan covering a portfolio of several skilled nursing facilities.
Assisted in disposition of medical office building portfolio, totaling more than $7 billion.
Negotiated leases for several national retail franchise stores, leases commonly valued at more than $1 million.
Managed broker listing and commission agreements for a portfolio of more than 250 medical office buildings.
Counseled clients in zoning and use regulations, achieved amendments to local zoning codes and ordinances to allow client use.
Counseled regional and national lenders in real estate-based financing deals, involving both acquisitions and construction financing.
