Overview

Poonam Agrawal is an Associate in Goldberg Kohn's Commercial Finance Practice Group. She represents banks, finance companies and other financial institutions in structuring, documenting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial finance transactions.

Poonam joined Goldberg Kohn in May 2026. She began her career in the Finance group at Vinson & Elkins, where she represented commercial borrowers, lenders, and private equity sponsors in secured and unsecured financings, refinancing transactions, acquisition financings, working capital facilities, broadly syndicated transactions and other complex financial transactions.

While in law school, Poonam served as a Student Ambassador for the University of Texas School of Law. She also formerly worked as an intern for Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas and the Texas Innocence Network.

Experience

Poonam obtained the following experience while an associate at Vinson & Elkins.

 

  • Represented a water and chemical solutions provider in a $550 million sustainability linked senior secured credit facility
  • Represented a land resource management company in connection with a $500 million senior notes offering and a concurrent $275 million senior secured revolving credit facility
  • Represented a water resource management company in a recapitalization and refinancing of its existing credit facilities and a $500 million senior secured revolving credit facility
  • Represented a joint venture backed by two private equity funds in a $950 million senior secured term loan B credit facility and a $300 million senior secured revolving credit facility
  • Represented a private equity portfolio company in a $400 million multi-draw term loan and revolving credit facility
  • Represented an energy transition fund portfolio company in a $22 million revolving credit facility to fund the development of data centers and renewable energy generation
  • Represented a multinational financial services company in a $30 million super-priority senior secured working capital facility
