She represents debtors, creditors, trustees and committees in bankruptcy proceedings, and is experienced in Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations.

Yasamin maintains an active pro bono practice, and in 2020 was honored by The Chicago Bar Foundation with The Maurice Weigle Exceptional Young Lawyer Award for her demonstrated commitment to pro bono work and community service. In connection with the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic she regularly represents individuals seeking orders of protection. She volunteers as a guardian ad litem in minor child guardianship matters before the Cook County Probate Division, and has helped obtain temporary protection under DACA for young immigrants. In addition, she is actively involved as a Member of the Pro Bono Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
