
Marques Winick is an associate in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. He has experience representing banks and other financial institutions in a wide range of asset-based and cash-flow loans, secured and unsecured lending transactions, and first and second lien facilities across a broad range of industries.
Marques is admitted to practice law in Illinois. He graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2019. While in law school, he was the Managing Editor of the Michigan Business & Entrepreneurial Law Review, the President of the Sports Law Society, and a mentor and Senior Judge for students in the first-year Legal Practice program. He also served as a Legal Intern for the United States Tennis Association in Orlando, Florida, and as a Law Clerk for the University of Michigan's Office of the Vice President & General Counsel. Prior to joining the Goldberg Kohn team, Marques worked at an international law firm in Chicago, where he represented banks, private equity firms and other financial institutions in asset-based and cash-flow secured and unsecured lending transactions, as well as middle-market mergers & acquisitions.
Marques earned his B.A. in English, summa cum laude with Honors, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2016, with minors in Business Management and Spanish. He was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a member of the varsity baseball team.
