Sean Apfelbaum is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Finance Group. Sean has experience representing banks, private equity firms and other financial institutions in a wide range of asset-based and cash-flow loans, secured and unsecured lending transactions, first and second lien facilities across a broad array of industries.
Sean received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, Illinois in 2015 and earned his B.A. in Human Biology from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana in 2010. Prior to joining the Goldberg Kohn team, Sean worked at two international law firms where he represented clients of all sizes with asset-based and cash-flow secured and unsecured lending transactions.
Before pursuing his legal career, Sean worked full-time as a research technician at the University of Chicago’s Psychomotor Laboratory. While in law school, Sean worked as an intern and law clerk at the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Medical Prosecutions Unit in Chicago.
