Overview

Bojan Lazic is a Principal in the firm's Real Estate Group. He represents lenders in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of various real estate financing transactions. He handles mortgage and mezzanine financing, construction financing, and mortgage origination for commercial mortgage-backed securitization programs. He has considerable experience with the financing of assisted living facilities, independent living facilities and skilled nursing facilities. 

In addition, Bojan represents clients in connection with the acquisition, disposition and leasing of real estate. 

Since 2022, he has been recognized annually in "The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch" publication in the area of Real Estate Law. 

Bojan joined Goldberg Kohn in August 2013 and serves on the firm's Finance Committee. 

Experience

  • Represented a healthcare lender in a senior mortgage loan portfolio secured by 10 skilled nursing facilities, including negotiation of intercreditor agreements with mezzanine mortgage lender and accounts receivable lender. 
  • Represented a healthcare lender in making a senior mortgage loan and a working capital revolving loan to privately owned entities that lease their skilled nursing facilities to public entities, including negotiation of security and related agreements with the public entities.  
  • Represented a healthcare lender making a mezzanine loan and a subordinated mortgage loan to finance the acquisition of a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities, including negotiation of a subordination and intercreditor agreement with the senior mortgage lender.
