Our representation of clients as the buyer and landlord in sale-leaseback transactions often involves the negotiation and structuring of complex financing arrangements, including tiered debt facilities. While a majority of our experience comes from assisting buyers and landlords, our team also has significant experience assisting corporate sellers and tenants. 

Representative Matters

  • Represented the buyer of a portfolio of stand-alone retail facilities. 
  • Represented the buyer of the Verizon Corporate headquarters in New Jersey.  
  • Represented the buyer of a ground leased sports facility under a long-term sublease to the Raiders in Nevada. 
  • Represented the buyer of a portfolio of casinos in Canada. 
  • Represented the buyer of Amazon warehouses under construction. Representation included negotiation of terms with the developer. 
  • Represented the seller of a property subject to a long-term “bond” lease and assignable mortgage financing to a “DST buyer.” 
  • Represented the seller of a portfolio of pre-schools and subsequent sale of additional facilities into the leaseback portfolio. 
  • Represented multiple clients in the sale and leaseback of their primary manufacturing facilities to institutional real estate investment firms.
