
Jenna Ward is a Principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. She represents banks and credit funds in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing financing transactions, including asset-based secured loans, cash flow loans, first and second lien credit facilities, leveraged buyouts and debtor-in-possession financings across a broad array of industries.
In April 2022 she was honored with the Secured Finance Network's Women in Secured Finance Award, which recognizes women who have had a significant impact on the industry’s future. Since 2021, she has been recognized annually in "The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch" publication in the area of Banking and Finance Law. In addition, she has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in Banking & Financial Institutions Law by Illinois Leading Lawyers since 2021.
Ms. Ward joined Goldberg Kohn in August 2015 and is Vice-Chair of the firm's Administrative Committee. Previously, she was an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she represented debtors and creditors in complex restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases, cross-border insolvency matters and out-of-court restructurings.
Ms. Ward received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2013, and her B.A. in Political Science and Government, magna cum laude, from Miami University in 2010. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and New York.
