
Jami Brodey is a Principal in the firm's Real Estate Group. She has experience in a wide variety of real estate transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine lending, construction financing, loan workout and restructuring, real estate property acquisition and disposition, and commercial leasing. Ms. Brodey has developed an expertise in sale-leaseback transactions, and in structuring and negotiating commercial mortgage loans in the senior housing industry. She represents lending clients in mortgage and construction financing with respect to various asset classes, including multi-family housing, office, retail, senior housing and hotels. She represents both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases.
Ms. Brodey heads the firm's women's initiative and has been instrumental in the implementation of various programs at the firm to promote the retention and advancement of female attorneys. She is also a member of the firm's diversity committee.
Ms. Brodey received her law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, cum laude, in 1998, and her B.S. in Economics, cum laude, in 1993 from the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in Illinois. Prior to pursuing her legal career, Ms. Brodey was a tax accountant in the real estate industry practice of a major accounting firm.
