Jenna A. Ward

Overview

Jenna A. Ward is a Principal in the firm's Commercial Finance Group. She represents commercial lending institutions in structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing financing transactions, including asset-based secured loans, cash flow loans, first and second lien credit facilities, leveraged buyouts and debtor-in-possession financings across a broad array of industries. 

In 2026 Jenna was honored as a "40 Under 40" award recipient by The Secured Finance Network. The award recognizes "the best and brightest rising stars in secured finance." Also among her accolades, in 2022 Jenna was honored with the Secured Finance Network's Women in Secured Finance Award, which recognizes women who have had a significant impact on the industry’s future. She was recognized annually in "The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch" publication in the area of Banking and Finance Law from 2021-2025. In addition, Leading Lawyers has recognized her as an Emerging Lawyer in Banking & Financial Institutions Law since 2021. 

Professional Background

Jenna joined Goldberg Kohn in August 2015 and is Vice-Chair of the firm's Administrative Committee. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where she was a member of the global restructuring and insolvency practice and represented debtors and creditors in complex restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases, cross-border insolvency matters and out-of-court restructurings.
