Overview

Michael Hainen is Chair of Goldberg Kohn's Commercial Finance Group and a Principal in the firm. He represents banks and other financial institutions primarily engaged in middle-market lending activities in the documentation, negotiation and closing of a wide range of loan transactions. He regularly handles single and multi-bank asset-based and cash-flow loans, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine financings, and cross-border finance transactions.

Mike also has extensive experience in bankruptcy related financing, including debtor-in-possession financings and exit loan facilities. In addition, he frequently handles workout matters and guides both out-of-court and bankruptcy-governed restructurings.

Mike has been individually ranked in Chambers USA for his work in Banking & Finance Law every year since 2014. He has served as an expert lecturer for workshops held by the Secured Finance Network.

Mike joined Goldberg Kohn in May 2000. In addition to chairing the firm's Commercial Finance Group, he is a member of the Business Development and Compensation committees and serves on the Associate Task Force.
