Overview

David Dranoff retired from the day-to-day practice of law effective July 1, 2023, but is currently Of Counsel to the firm’s Commercial Finance Group. In this role, David will be providing regular associate training sessions and will be available for special projects, as well as consultation on transaction structures, documentation issues and workout matters.

David has more than 40 years of experience representing lenders in negotiating, documenting and closing a broad range of financing transactions, including asset-based secured loans, leveraged buy-out and cash-flow transactions, mezzanine loan transactions, unitranche financing matters and cross-border lending matters. He is also experienced in structuring and documenting loan workouts.

Every year since 2003, David has been individually ranked by Chambers USA for his work in Banking & Finance Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers and holds the AV Preeminent® peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for legal ethics and legal ability. David has been recognized annually by Best Lawyers in America in Banking & Finance Law, Who's Who Legal Top Rated Lawyers in Banking and Finance Law, Illinois Super Lawyers, Expert Guides: World’s Leading Banking Lawyers and Illinois Leading Lawyers.
